By Nikolai Gogol
Adapted & Directed by Terri Brabon
THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR
The local council (manipulated by a powerful and wealthy developer) learn that the State Government
are sending in a Crime and Corruption Commissioner Watchdog to have a sniff around.
And he'll be arriving, "incognito".
Written just before the outbreak of World War II, Brecht's cautionary satirical take on the rise of
Adolf Hitler resonates just as sharply today as it did then, forcing us to question our every thought.
Is it possible that Hitler could have been prevented?
Can we prevent history from repeating?
Have we learned our lesson?
Following on from her critically acclaimed adaptation of Bertolt Brecht's THE RESISTIBLE RISE OF ARTURO UI,
Artistic Director Terri Brabon has taken a fresh look at Nikolai Gogol's famous Russian comedy classic.
Featuring Brendan O'Connor, Michael Gleeson, Keely Pronk, Sally McCutcheon, John Goodson, Michael Sams
and Emma Lamberton alongside the incredible talents of the TheatreiNQ Ensemble and The Bridge Project.
So step back in time and join us for an EPIC thrill ride through History!
