whether that be live on-line, filmed video or in the classroom.
We are local and we are here to help.
Each of the following can be delivered in a one-off capacity or expanded into a multiple workshop series.

ACTIONING TEXT:
The basic principals to actioning text, suits all forms of text-based performance; realism, epic, heightened (Commedia, Elizabethan, Pantomime). One workshop can be helpful for basic elements but two or more would preferable to apply understanding to a specific text; one being studied in class or text provided by ThiNQ Ed.
VOICE FOR PERFORMANCE:
Using a mixture of Linklater, Berry and contemporary public speaking techniques, this series of workshops is ideal for general voice introduction to performances or presentations; material will be altered slightly depending on class type (Drama, English, Humanities).
SHAKESPEARE PERFORMANCE TIPS:
Within Shakespeare’s plays are clues on how to perform the text. These workshops can assist students preparing for a presenting task or to simply improve understanding of Shakespearean text.
SHAKESPEARE'S RHYTHM:
The rhythm of Shakespeare’s poetry is a key feature of the genius of his work. By understanding and being comfortable with the rhythm, students can better understand, analyse, and appreciate Shakespeare.
EPIC THEATRE (Brecht):
This workshop explores the conventions of Epic Theatre. Multiple sessions are recommended for these workshops to assist students apply these conventions to text either from class or provided by THiNQ ED.
CHARACTER EXPLORATION:
Focusing on the individual actor, this workshop explores the conventions of Laban. Applying Laban to physicality and voice, students learn how to develop unique characters.
CLOWNING:
Participants will be encouraged to unleash their inner clown using the slapstick/physical comedy tradition.
PHYSICAL THEATRE:
Develop the skills and language of visual story telling. This workshop uses elements of Viewpoints and focuses on working as an ensemble. Perfect as an introduction to physical theatre or as a way to further explore theatrical techniques and conventions.
