Step into the enchanting world of Shakespeare in Love, where laughter, romance, and drama collide in a dazzling celebration of theatre.  

 

Promising young playwright, Will Shakespeare is tormented by writer's block until he finds his muse in the form of passionate noblewoman, Viola de Lesseps.  Her forbidden dream of being an actor on the stage brings her into Will's orbit and inspires him to write the greatest love story of all time.

Adapted from the Academy Award winning film and presented by the team behind the annual Shakespeare Under the Stars, this show brings to life the wit and charm of Shakespeare’s London, offering a night out that’s brimming with heart and plenty of laughs. 

Directed by Terri Brabon OAM and featuring Brendan O'Connor alongside Townsville's most celebrated performers including Lachlan Stevenson (Australian Shakespeare Company), Brittany Santariga (Bell Shakespeare, Home and Away), and James Thomasson (Bell Shakespeare)
