Born and raised in Ayr, North Queensland, Terri studied acting at James Cook University under the guidance of world-renowned director and theatre-maker, Jean-Pierre Voos. After graduating, she worked as an actor in Townsville with Tropic Line Theatre for the next few years before moving on to Brisbane, working with Harvest Rain Theatre and then in Melbourne with the Australian Shakespeare Company. Terri has worked as an actor, director, choreographer, trainer and writer in theatre and television over the past twenty-five years.

In 2010, she followed her dream and moved back to Townsville to start TheatreiNQ – a regionally based professional theatre company. In the past ten years, Terri has directed 36 main house productions for the company, launched The Bridge Project (a training course for young and emerging actors and technicians) and adapted and directed each Shakespeare Under the Stars event since 2008.

In 2017, Terri wrote an adaptation of Frankenstein and followed up the same year with an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. She has since written two more full length plays; First Born, an original work based on the Oresteia Trilogy, written in iambic pentameter, and Alice Through the Looking-Glass which included all original songs. Her adaptation of Shakespeare’s History Plays, The Wars of the Roses Trilogy, concludes this year. Terri is a multifaceted arts worker and theatre maker with the drive and enthusiasm to try her hand at any and all aspects of live performance.
